Charles Joseph Roitz 

February 3, 1935 - December 5, 2012.

  • 1954-after HS graduation, Navy photography school
  • 1957-58-Trinidad State. Junior College and DU part time
  • 1959-  Regis University
  • 1961- BS from Regis University
  • 1961-66-Commercial photographer and film editor
  • 1966-Started graduate work at San Francisco State University.
  • 1968-MA from San Francisco State University.
  • 1969-91-at CU, Professor Emeritus and founder of the photography and electronic imaging programs.  During this time, 2 of our Regis colleagues were students of Charlie’s
  • 1967-2005-at least 28 one man shows of 20 or more prints; at least triple that number of group show exhibits.
  • 2001-05-Commitment Program at Regis
  • His work is part many permanent collections including MOMA in NY, the George Eastman House, Princeton Art Museum, the Fogg Museum, the Visual Studies Workshop, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Denver Art Museum and many more.
