Scope and Content

 

The Rare Book Collection does not circulate. It is open to all researchers.

Some topics covered by the volumes in this collection are:

  • The history, leaders, and literature of Ireland.
  • The history of expansion west of the Mississippi.
  • Pages from life: changes in culture and communication from manuscripts to the printing press.
  • Concepts of knowledge derived from faith or science.
  • Sermons from 1708 - 1851 preached in New England.

All archives and collections are non-circulating and are accessible by appointment only. 

Patrons that have not set an appointment are not guaranteed consultation with Archives staff.

Before visiting please submit a research request via the research request form. Walk-in researchers are not guaranteed access to archival and collection materials.
