    This indexes 12,500 periodicals in the Social Sciences, Humanities, Arts, Physical Sciences, Medicine and Education, with 5,400 titles in full-text. The sources are a mix of academic, professional, and popular periodicals and newspapers.
  • Academic Search Premier  
    A favorite for the social sciences, humanities, fine arts, medicine, and education, ASP indexes 8,200 periodicals. Full-text articles from 3,750 peer-reviewed, scholarly journals are found here, plus a number of popular sources.
  • AccessPharmacy  
    This multi-media database has 25 online textbooks which can be searched or browsed by curricular topic or organ system. Drug monographs treat names, generics, classes, and patient information. Case studies, lab tests, calculators, videos, and effectiveness statements are also available.
  • Accounting and Auditing Literature (AICPA)  
    This public site of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants has AICPA Professional Standards, Position Statements, Technical Practice Aids, Accounting Trends and Techniques, and Audit and Accounting Guides. To access this site, register free at www.cpa2biz.com. Your log-in is good for future sessions.
  • ACM Digital Library  
    Computer science publications from the Association for Computing Machinery are featured in the Digital Library. This is a large collection of full-text articles plus abstracts from almost 50 years of ACM journals, newsletters and conference proceedings.
  • ACM Portal  
    Full-text computer science articles from the ACM Digital Library are supplemented here with 350,000 additional non-ACM citations such as dissertations, technical reports and grey literature.
  • AGRICOLA  
    This life sciences database, compiled by the National Agricultural Library, indexes literature in agriculture, natural resources, the environment, food and nutrition since 1979.
  • Alternative Press Index  
    Alt Press Index retrieves citations and abstracts from nearly 300 alternative periodicals, newspapers and magazines since 1969.   • America: History and Life  
    Article citations and abstracts from 1,700 journals on United States and Canadian history and culture, plus citations to books, chapters, book reviews and dissertations.
  • American Chemical Society Journals  
    Thirty journals from the American Chemical Society are found here in full text, plus some added material.
  • American Civil War: Letters and Diaries  
    This source contains the personal writings people living during the U.S. Civil War. It is searchable by age, gender, race, battle, or location.
  • American Film Scripts Online  
    Full text of approximately 1,000 film scripts, including some deleted scenes, plus biographical and bibliographic information.
  • American Song  
    This audio archive has 57,000 tracks of songs by and about, miners, immigrants, slaves, American Indians, pioneers, and cowboys. The Civil Rights movement, political campaigns, anti-war protests, and other events are included. Also here is a vast collection of African-American Songs from blues, jazz, gospel, ragtime, and other traditions.
  • Annual Review of ...  
    Full-text annual reviews from the areas of biochemistry; biophysics; ecology, evolution and systematics; genomics and human genetics; medicine; microbiology; neuroscience; physiology; psychology; physical chemistry; anthropology; and sociology.
  • Anthropological Index Online  
    This source contains article citations from archeology, physical and cultural anthropology extending back to 1957.
  • AnthroSource  
    This has full-text access to 15 peer-reviewed journals and bulletins of the American Anthropological Association, plus an archive of related journals.
  • Art Abstracts & Art Retrospective  
    Art Abstracts provides indexing and abstracts for all areas of fine art, architectural history, fashion, textiles and related fields in art-related periodicals since 1984. It also indexes reproductions of art works. Access is limited to one user at a time. Art Retrospective has the same coverage for the years 1929 to 1984, with a limit of two users at a time.
  • Arts and Humanities Search

  • Asian American Drama  
    Scripts of more than 252 plays by 42 Asian American playwrights are included, along with playbills, photos, and biographical information.
  • Associations Unlimited  
    A directory of 500,000 national, regional, and international nonprofit organizations including professional societies, trade organizations, and philanthropies.
  • ATLA Religion Database  
    ATLA indexes religious and theological literature from over 1,600 journals plus books and edited works. It includes full-text articles from about 100 core journals. A special feature is the ability to search by scriptural citation.
  • Biography and Genealogy Master Index  
    BMGI indexes sources referring to 13.6 million names, both contemporary and historical.
  • Biological & Medical Sciences (CSA)  
    This source provides indexing and abstracts for 6,000 sources in biomedicine, biotechnology, toxicology, zoology, ecology and agriculture. Companion indexes include Biology Digest, Medline 1999-present and Toxline in a rolling 5-year index.
  • Black Drama  
    This full-text database contains 1200 plays by 200 African and black American playwrights, and supporting information including playbills, productions, and theatres.
  • Black Thought and Culture  
    A full-text database of writings and speeches by black American leaders from 1776 to the present, you may search this by name, year, historical event, and other fields.
  • Books 24x7

  • Books in Print  
    The standard reference for book purchasing in North America also includes out of print and forthcoming titles. Reviews are available in many cases. Please log out at end.
  • British and Irish Women's Letters and Diaries  
    Full text letters and diaries of more than 500 British and Irish women living between 1500 and 1950. Search by name, age, occupation, religion, subject matter, or historical event.
  • Business & Company Resource Center  
    The source is good for periodical and news articles on business and industry. It also incorporates directory information on 100,000 public and private companies, and information derived from business rankings, market share reports, company histories, industry overviews, and investment reports. 500 refereed journals are among its 3,300 full-text sources.
  • Business Source Premier  
    BSP is a versatile source for articles and reports on all aspects of business, economics, and nonprofit management. It has full-text articles from 2,500 business, trade, and industry sources, of which 1,140 are peer-reviewed journals. Also found here are more than 10,000 company profiles, 2,900 company SWOT analyses, and many country, market, and industry profiles.
  • Campbell Collaboration (C2) Library  
    C2 has two parts for evidence-based information in the social sciences: C2-RIPE for evidenced-based reviews in education, criminology, and social welfare; and SPECTR, a database of many research trials in education, criminology, and psychology.
  • Catholic Periodical and Literature Index  
    This index to Roman Catholic literature includes periodical articles, books, book reviews, and Papal and Church documents. Note: last-name-comma-first-name is used when searching persons who are authors or subjects. Pope names appear as John Paul II, Pope.
  • CCH Internet Tax Research Network  
    This is a library of federal and state tax codes, tax court decisions, revenue rulings, and CCH editorial explanations. Locate the GAAP Guide here by selecting Browse for Explanations, Treatises.
  • CEDIS  
    Colorado business, economic and demographic data at the state, county and municipal levels.
  • Cell Press  
    Full-text for the nine Cell Press journals are included in the ScienceDirect database. Cell, Immunity, Neuron, Molecular Cell, Structure, Current Biology, Developmental Cell, Cancer Cell, Chemistry and Biology, and Cell Metabolism are the journals available from this publisher. Articles are available beginning in 1995.
  • Chemical Abstracts  
    Chemical Abstracts is now available via SciFinder Scholar. This database covers a variety of scientific disciplines, including Agriculture Science, Biology and Life Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Food Sciences, General Chemistry, Geological Sciences, Material Sciences, Medical Sciences, Physics, and Polymer Science. Remote access is not available at this time.
  • ChoiceReviews.online  
    Choice has reviewed more than 100,000 books suitable for college libraries since 1988, as well as many electronic resources.
  • CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature)  
    CINAHL is the professional source for full-text articles from over 580 journals in nursing and allied health. It also has citations and abstracts for many additional journals. Other publication types included are relevant legal cases, clinical innovations and trials, and citations to dissertations in nursing. CINAHL Headings help define search terms.
  • Classical Music Library  
    This database is an audio library of more than 3,600 albums of classical music from labels around the world. It’s searchable by composer, conductor, genre, instruments, ensemble, with composer biographies and opus lists.
  • Cochrane Library  
    Cochrane has full-text evidence-based reviews of health care practices and treatments, including technology assessments, economic evaluations, and clinical trials.
  • Colorado by the Numbers  
    Compiled by two librarians, this database has broad statistical data on topics including state demographics, health, education, nonprofits, earnings, government receipts, elections, Colorado water, and much more.
  • Colorado Grants Guide

    The current edition of the Colorado Statutes and Constitution in a searchable version.
  • Communication & Mass Media Complete  
    CMMC has full-text coverage of 230 journals in communication plus indexing for 600 additional sources. Fields include mass communications, intercultural, nonverbal, conflict resolution, journalism, speech, and film.
  • Communication Abstracts  
    Citations and abstracts for content in 160 communication journals, books, reports, and papers and since 1977.   • Computer Database  
    Full-text articles from almost 350 computer industry periodicals, with citations from another 300 titles.
  • Computing Reviews  
    Expert, critical reviews of books, papers, and articles of note in computer science from the ACM.
  • Conference Board Business Knowledge Research  
    The Conference Board provides very good original research and analysis in business management and global economics. Corporate giving, governance, hr practices, and Executive Compensation reports are some searchable topics. Multimedia presentations are included.

  • Contemporary Literary Criticism  
    CLC has extensive literary criticism selected from books, reviews, and articles on 3,000 authors who flourished from 1960 on.
  • Contemporary Women's Issues (CWI)  
    CWI includes full text articles or citations from almost 2,500 international sources related to women's social, economic, or health issues.   • Contemporary World Music  
    An extensive audio library of traditional and contemporary music, this database allows you to search performers, ensembles, or browse through many global genres.
  • CQ Public Affairs Collection  
    This collection covers 22 key topics such as Education, Health, Environment, Business, Employment, and National Security. Content includes encyclopedic entries, statistics, graphs, primary source documents, legislation, and analysis. Hot Topics covers controversial issues in the news.
  • CQ Researcher  
    Balanced journalistic reports on political, social, and economic topics of the day, these are favorites for speeches and debates. Each report has background information, chronologies, supporting documentation, and pro-con arguments on a single issue like health care reform, gun laws, swine flu, or domestic violence.
  • CQ Supreme Court Collection  
    This collects high court cases and opinions including analysis of major decisions; also profiles of current justices and nominees, a study of voting blocs and a tool to measure differences between justices’ votes. It has primary source documents and a court encyclopedia.
  • CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics  
    The standard handbook of chemical and physical reference data commonly used by physical scientists and engineers.
  • Credo Reference  
    Credo contains 410 reference dictionaries and handbooks in all subject areas. You’ll find entries for words, concepts, phenomena, quotes, figures, formulae, or historical or cultural events. Subjects range broadly over the arts, humanities, sciences, social sciences, and foreign languages.
  • Denver Group Guide Library  
    Formerly Denver Group Guide, this directory lists civic groups, including youth, seniors, fraternal, business & professional, human services, philanthropic, and special interest groups. The Colorado Media Directory lists statewide media outlets, producers, advertising staff, and locally produced programs. Remote access is not available.
  • Denver Media Directory

  • Dictionary of Literary Biography
