Spring 2025 Faculty & Staff Reading Groups

Together the First Year Experience (FYE) and Regis College Dean's Office are sponsoring a set of Spring reading groups to come together in the spirit of care for our common home. Integral Ecology will be part of the FYE curriculum in Fall of 2025, so time and space is needed to come to a shared understanding of what this term means.

Two texts will be considered, together, by faculty and staff. Fresh Banana Leaves: Healing Indigenous Landscapes (2022) by Dr. Jessica Hernandez is the Common Read book for the year--copies are available for participating faculty and staff in the FYE office (Loyola Hall, Suite 1C). Laudato Si (2015) by Pope Francis is a widely available encyclical that can also be purchased as a short book.
