Renewing Library Materials

There are four primary ways to renew library materials:

  • In person. Just visit the Circulation Desk on the second floor of the library.
  • Via Email. Send an email message to Include your full name, a list of titles to be renewed (or simply "All titles") and a phone number where we can reach you.
  • Online. Log in to your library account and check off the items you wish to renew. After you submit your item list you will view new due dates next to each item (unless they can't be renewed).
  • By phone. Call the Circulation Desk at 303.458.4030 or 1.800.388.2366 x4030. If your call goes to voice mail, speak clearly and provide your full name, the list of titles you wish to renew and a phone number where we can reach you.

Most library items may be renewed three times, unless another patron has requested the item. Prospectormaterials are limited to one renewal. Some DVDs, CDs, and videotapes may have a more limited loan period with no opportunity to renew.

To view a list of materials you currently have checked out, log in to your library account and select "Items(s) Currently Checked Out."

Check the band on the loaned item to see if it is renewable. If it is, log in to Interlibrary Loan and select the "Request a Renewal" option from the main menu. Please note that renewal options are set at the discretion of the lending library and may not be granted.

All disputes concerning library fines should be directed to the Access Services Manager at 303-458-4264.

  • AV equipment not returned or lost may be subject to current replacement costs.
  • Overdue reserve items are fined at $1.00 per hour.
