Library, Learning Commons, and Student Disability/Testing Services Information - COVID-19

This guide serves as a resource to update Regis University on operations and services.

Electronic Reserves (eReserves)

The library's Electronic Reserves (eReserves) system is still down. Due to unforeseen complexities associated with restoration of the system, it is still unknown when the service will be fully operational again.

Please note that many of the materials linked to in the eReserves system are available from the library's subscription databases or catalog. So it is possible in some cases to access the required reading from the library system. While the electronic reserves service remains offline, we suggest the following steps for students and faculty to take:

Students:

  1. Check if item is available from one of our online databases or catalog. Contact library@regis.edu or use the chat widget on our homepage for assistance with this step.
  2. If the item is not available from our online databases or catalog, the student should notify the instructor immediately. Lack of access will be an issue for all students so the instructor needs to know this. Once the instructor is aware of the lack of access, the instructor can make the necessary adjustment to the syllabus or accommodation for students.

Instructors:

  1. Check if item is available from one of our online databases or catalog. Contact library@regis.edu or use the chat widget on our homepage for assistance with this step.
  2. If item is not available from our online databases or catalog, we recommend the instructor take either of the following actions:
    • Submit a interlibrary loan request using the Regis Library. Due to the pandemic, please note that delivery of ILL requests may take several days, even weeks depending on the content type. The instructor is advised to distribute the copy he/she receives via Worldclass.
    • Use an alternate reading that is available online from the the library databases or catalog. Contact library@regis.edu or use the chat widget on our homepage for assistance with this step.
