Library, Learning Commons, and Student Disability/Testing Services Information - COVID-19

This guide serves as a resource to update Regis University on operations and services.

FAQ - Updated 6/19/20

The library building is currently closed as we work to ensure a safe environment for our staff and the university community. This gradual return to in-person service includes safety process and adjustments to library service points, workspaces, study rooms, and other communal spaces for social distancing.

Our virtual services continue and we encourage users to utilize our online information resources and services; you will find links to these resources and services on the left.

Curbside pickup starts June 22nd

Curbside, contactless, pickup service is for current Regis University students, faculty, and staff to obtain materials from the Dayton Memorial Library. To initiate a pickup request:

  • Email the Circulation desk at
    Include your name and Regis ID number as well as the information about the items you're requesting.
  • You will be notified via your Regis email address when items are pulled and ready for pickup. Instructions for pickup will be included.
  • Pickup will be available Monday - Friday between 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Items will be checked out to you at point of pickup.
This service is currently limited to Regis students, faculty, and staff.

Prospector borrowing and lending of physical materials is still suspended due to the large number of libraries that have closed during the pandemic. We will provide updates as we have more information from the Colorado Association of Research Libraries.

Equipment checkout
Please contact the Digital Initiatives and Preservation department ( to checkout and schedule equipment pickup.

Library materials

Can I return books or DVDs?
Yes, the book drops in front of the library and behind the library in lot 2 are open for returns. We will periodically sanitize the book drop handle as we empty the book drops.

Can I mail books or DVDs to the library?
Yes, we recommending sending them using library mail rate through the United States Postal Service. Send your materials to:

Can I return equipment to the library?
Please contact the Digital Initiatives and Preservation department ( to schedule a drop off time.

All returned items will be quarantined for 72 hours before being removed from your account. Due dates for all library materials currently checked out are extended until August 17, 2020 and all late fees are waived.


Where can I print?
Regis students can print in the labs on the lower level of Carroll Hall.


Is the library accepting donations?
The library is not able to accept donations of books or other materials.
