Ways to Organize
Databases and their parent companies offer various stand-alone resources for researchers. One way to make the most of the database tools is to create an account. Once created, you can save searches, set alerts for new items of interest, store citation, and more. You do not need to have database access to use their account features.
- These accounts are free.
- These accounts are not related to your Regis access or library account
- These accounts generally will not “talk” to one another, but are good places to store research items
- Make your account with a non-Regis email, so after you graduate you can still access your research folders/lists

Google Scholar ProfileFrom their site: Google Scholar Profiles provide a simple way for authors to showcase their academic publications. You can check who is citing your articles, graph citations over time, and compute several citation metrics. You can also make your profile public, so that it may appear in Google Scholar results when people search for your name.

Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID)ORCID is a global, not-for-profit organization that strives to provide a unique, persistent identifier for individuals to use as they engage in research, scholarship, and innovation activities. Especially useful for researchers with a common name, ORCID provides a unique identifier so you can always claim and find your publications.

National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) AccountThrough NIH, The National Center for Biotechnology Information advances science and health by providing access to biomedical and genomic information. The account have various features, but "My Bibliography" allows researchers to create and manage a list of their publications; especially important for NIH-funded projects where compliance with the Public Access Policy is required.

ScopusScopus automatically makes an author profile when you have two or more publications through one of their journals. Setting up and managing your profile is easy and allows you to:
Set a preferred name
Merge profiles
Add and remove documents
Update affiliation -
ResearchGateWith 20 million researchers in over 190 countries, and use ResearchGate to connect, collaborate, and share your work. Profiles are also excellent for contacting authors directly for access to their works.

MendeleyMendeley is a free reference management system supported by Elsevier. Using this tool you can generate citations and bibliographies in a whole range of journal styles and include them in your writing.
