Safari Books Online FAQ

What is Safari Books Online?

Safari Books Online is a collection of Information Technology and Business ebooks. Regis Library's custom subscription to Safari Books includes thousands of titles published by O'Reilly, Project Management Institute, Adobe, Microsoft, Oracle, and more.

How do I access Safari Books Online?

All Safari ebooks are accessible through Regis University Library's online catalog, Lumen, or the Safari Books Online link on the A-Z Database List. Use of individual titles is limited to three concurrent users. Please log out when you are finished with your session.

May I print or download Safari ebooks?

Pages may be printed one at a time. There is no function within the Safari system that will enable subscribers to print all content from a book.

Most Safari ebooks may not be downloaded.

Where is the CD/DVD-ROM content for my book?

Many books are published with a CD/DVD-ROM included. If the publisher has provided Safari Books with the additional content for a book or video, find it on the Extras tab on the catalog page for the ebook title.

Is there mobile access to Safari Books Online?

You need to connect to Safari Books Online through the web browser on your mobile device. Once you are connected, click on the red "Switch to Mobile Site" button. The Safari To Go app is not available to academic library customers, though they do plan to make it work with academic libraries at a future date.
