A basic description of key services and collections in the Digital Initiatives & Preservation department.

DML 112 - Media classroom

Seating capacity

DML 112 is a fully equipped classroom. Installed equipment includes:

  • LCD projector
  • VHS player
  • DVD player
  • Blu-ray player
  • Multimedia PC
  • 2 slide projectors
  • An electronically controlled screen measuring 75" X 100"

All audio is routed through a separate stereo system with ceiling mounted speakers. A patch panel and switcher in the room’s podium allow instructors to connect their own source equipment (laptop computer, camcorder, etc.) to the room’s system. Blackout curtains provide for optimal viewing conditions and a commercial satellite feed is available by request.

Doceri™ desktop has been installed on the room’s computer. When used with an Apple iPad, Doceri can enhance multimedia presentations with screencasting, an interactive whiteboard feature and remote desktop control. Instructors utilizing Doceri™ will be best served when using their personal iPad with Doceri™ for iPad already installed.

This room may be reserved for single events, multiple classes within a semester and, for classes heavily dependent on media, full semesters. Please note that DML 112 is heavily booked during Fall and Spring semesters. Try to reserve this room well in advance.

DML 115 - Media seminar room

Seating capacity – 9

DML 115 is a seminar room with a large conference table and has a capacity of 9. Installed equipment includes:

  • Wall mounted 46” LCD TV
  • DVD player
  • VHS player
  • Blu-ray player
  • Multimedia PC
  • Mac Mini with webcam for internet video conferencing
  • Wireless mouse and keyboard for use with the Mac Mini (available for checkout at the Media Services front desk)

This room may be reserved for single events, multiple classes within a semester and, for classes heavily dependent on media, full semesters. Please note that DML 115 is heavily booked during Fall and Spring semesters. Try to reserve this room well in advance.
