Larry Varnell Papers

Larry Varnell Papers

The focus of this collection is on Larry Varnell’s connection to Regis University (Regis College at that time), although there are items from other times in his life. The correspondence consists of an employment contract with Regis College, a telegram and a letter sent while he was basketball coach, as well as letters about his induction into the Tennessee Sports Hall of  Fame and the Regis Hall of Fame. There are clippings from 1947 to 1986 which include pages from Basketball Programs and newspaper articles about Varnell. The photos are mostly from his championship basketball teams. There are also a few memorabilia items including College Sweaters and a Naval Officer’s Uniform.
