Sponsored Projects Academic Research Council (SPARC)
The purpose of the Project Funds is to promote faculty and student research and scholarly activities in all disciplines and schools at Regis University. Moinies are available for scholary and research projects.

American Philosophical Society

  • Library Resident Research Fellowship.  Applicants must need to work in the Society's collections for a minimum of 1 month, and a maximum of 3 months, must reside farther away than a 75-mile radius of Philadelphia; do not need to hold the doctorates. Stipend $2,000 per month
  • Franklin Research Grants. Program is designed to help meet the costs of travel to libraries and archives for research purposes, the purchase of microfilm, the costs associated with fieldworks, or laboratory research expenses.  Applications are expected to have a doctorate.  Award: up to $6,000

CIRCLE (The Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement)
Supports research on the civic engagement of young Americans. CIRCLE funds research, not practice. However, all CIRCLE-funded research should have implications for specified categories of practitioners such as legislators, candidates, teachers, educational administrators, youth-serving organizations, journalists, professional associations, or nonprofits that work to encourage youth voting and political participation.

Virginia A. Hodgkinson Research Prize
The Prize was established by Independent Sector in 1995 to recognize outstanding published research that furthers our understanding of philanthropy, voluntary action, nonprofits and civil society in either the United States or abroad. Research Prize recipients are researchers and practitioners, who work in or with the voluntary sector, and have through their work demonstrated local, regional, national, or international impact and recognition.

The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University
Works to increase the understanding of philanthropy and improve its practice through programs in research, teaching, public service, and public affairs, is accepting applications for its Archives Research Fellows Fund. This competitive program awards grants of up to $4,000 in any discipline for research that requires the use of the collections of the Philanthropy Archival Collection at Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis.

Live, Learn, Intern
The program is intended for undergraduate students who are involved in volunteer and service activities and are excited about exploring professional opportunities in the non-profit sector.

Nonprofit Sector Research Fund
The Nonprofit Sector Research Fund, a program of the Aspen Institute, seeks to improve understanding of nonprofit activities and inform related practice and policy. To this end, the Fund periodically disseminates requests-for-proposals (RFPs) that announce the availability of funding to support research projects on critical nonprofit issues.
