The Research and Instruction Department has two primary responsibilities: providing research assistance to students, faculty and staff, and customized library instruction to all colleges of Regis University.

This assistance is provided in person at the library, by telephone, via e-mail, and through the library's 24x7 chat reference service. Private research consultations are also available to all Regis students, staff, and faculty.

Additional responsibilities of Research and Instruction librarians include the selection of library materials for multiple subject areas as well as the library's reference collection, and maintenance of the associated research guides for each subject. The department also serves the local community by providing access to print and online resources along with basic research assistance and instruction.

Members of the Research and Instruction Department assist with the design and execution of faculty research projects and provide on-demand research assistance for other members of the Regis community via the research help service. We serve on the ACB&C Academic Council, RHCHP Academic Council, Institutional Review Board, and have served on multiple faculty search committees.
